Start Rebirth Development

In early 2021, YVG co-founded Rebirth Development with Nanne Veenstra.

reBirth is a property developer with a strong focus on add-value projects throughout the Netherlands and with a focus in the Rotterdam The Hague Metropolitan Area.

Her strength is searching, finding and creatively assessing existing real estate and development sites to breathe new life into them.

Veenstra (1981) studied Economics at the University of Groningen. After graduating, he worked for 7 years at international major banks before setting up his own real estate company in Amsterdam. In his last position he held the role of CEO at Young Venture Group, where he led the transition from developing investor to end investor and split off the development branch.

Veenstra: “reBirth is a new name but with a long track record. We remain committed to repurposing obsolete real estate and unattractive locations, responding to the opportunities and challenges that arise today.

For example, as a result of the corona pandemic, we have been in talks with owners who suddenly look at their properties differently. I expect we will be able to announce some nice transactions in the near future.”

In addition, Rebirth has acquired a former plot at the Havenkwartier in Rijswijk from YVG. On the plot of the former concrete plant, two residential complexes will be realized with space in the plinths for activity (approx. 15,000 m2).

YVG Group funds both the project portfolio and the growth of the organization.
